Patch 1.0.4 Notes (Edited) + Patreon Notice!
Sorry for the long delay between patches, I've been working on both 1.0.4 and the next major content update, 1.1.0, at the same time. This update adds in villager inflation, some new player sprites, new enemies, and new quests! This update started out as a shorter update, but gradually expanded in size over time. There is a lot of nice QoL content, but still plenty to be done!
Patch 1.1.0 will go live two weeks after it is finalized and posted to Patreon, and my eta is about 45 days until it goes live. You can view Dev Log #8 to get a glimpse at the content that will be available in the next update! Dev Log #9 will go live hopefully sometime this week, talking about the other half of the 1.1.0 content that hasn't been covered yet.

Additions
- Added inflatable miscellaneous villagers in Greeha village, Sharpclaw Village, and Auris Village (58 total, ~350 lines of dialogue).
- Most questgivers and merchants are now inflatable.

Balance/Changes
- EXP tables no longer cumulative (higher EXP requirements between levels, previously bugged).
- Resources now respawn upon entering a new map (rather than timer/instantly like previous patches).
- Ariana now wears goblin mask during appropriate quests.
- Follower inflation state now synced in cutscenes.
- Filled in placeholder NPCs.
- Updated credits page.
- Nerfed juice selling price from self-juicer.
- Self-juicer now requires player to be at least 60% inflated to use.
- Reduced starting gold allowance.
- Mages now do "magic" attack with abilities (unimportant until next update).
- Locket from side quest now much easier to see.
- Slimed status now causes 5% max size damage a turn (previously 10%) to account for speed penalty.
- EDIT (12/25): Bandits can no longer stun the player. (Temporarily removed until reworked to be less spammable).
Bug Fixes
- Fixed missing dialogue for some enemies.
- Player face swapping to Ariana's mid-combat.
- Game no longer softlocks if you hit ESC while viewing keybinds.
- Fixed "Disable Combat Dialogue" setting only disabling some dialogue in combat.
- Fixed popped quest NPCs being infinitely lootable.
- POV sprite toggle no longer resets upon popping.
- Fixed typos in "Feisty Goblin" twins quest.
- Enemies no longer spawn in walls (FOR REAL THIS TIME)!
- Enemy sprites in combat are no longer extremely blurry.
- Player can no longer move during cutscenes.
- Fixed Ariana vanishing in Auris village if player leaves the area.
- Various menus can no longer be opened in character creation menu (caused game to crash).
- Player/follower faces become blue when afflicted with berry ailment in combat.
- Fixed missing lines on player HUD.
- Mana bloat now properly recovers mana.
Known Issues
- If player explodes during some quests cutscenes, the scene will continue.
- Enemies show as fully inflated for a brief moment at combat start.
- Statuses not shown in combat UI or overworld UI (only in status menu).
- Menu pops up when changing to floating size while wearing mask for brief second.
- Goblin Mask off centered when blueberry status is applied.
- Enemies can interrupt cutscenes in some maps.
- Graphical glitch on quest bubble for R.Q. #10.
- Statuses in UI not showing turn duration.
- Some abilities missing SFX.
- Extreme load times between areas for some players.
- Swapping classes does not save EXP (only level).
- Stuns do not affect followers.
- Some puffkiss scenes end earlier than they should.

Not sure if known, but the quest involving giving a guard blueberries is bugged and can't be completed.
Couple of bugs.
Missing images :
Goblin Chieftess entrance uses "ChieftessEv" and not basic name, but use basic naming after the cutscene. (can be renamed, so fixable)
Lepin villagers (hidden ones) are missing the faces img file. For example : the worried one in the barrel should be using "au villager 4.png", but is looking for "MGW%20Quest%208%20Lep%203.png" instead. The image shouldn't be named that way, that's just the the direction to pick the face of the right face set, but I can't know the name, thus cannot rename for a fix.
EDIT: events are contained in Map012.json, make a copie of villager 6 and rename it "MGW Quest 8 Lep3" for the one given in the example to fix.
Missing enemies :
So far, only the pixies. Fight ends as soon as it starts, files are all there, but you forgot to add them to the enemies.json file. The only mention is a test enemy that is applied to all pixies.
Vesper enemy is straight up missing. It exist in the enemies file, however this is the only mention of it. There is not sprite for it, no presence on the maps, nada. It might be an accident, but you simply cannot fight whatever it's supposed to be.
Maps/quests:
So, as previously explained, plenty of maps are bugged due to missnamed/missing files, but there is also the problem of the quests. Rn, main quests ends right after leaving the bandit house. You talk to arianna to delier the masks and then nothing gets triggered, so might want to add a message there.
Slime quest is still broken, and cannot be completed. Merchant cannot be inflated, as well as a lot of the quest givers (rn, only clover the lupin, and only after dealing with it's first quest).
There are maps that the player is locked out of, by rocks, it could be just a WIP, but it's weird to have the path markers if you aren't meant to access those places.
A lot of bugs are because of your naming conventions, make sure to write them down, in case something like this happens.
A few of these, mostly the softlocks, have been fixed already in 1.0.4.1/1.0.4.2, but the rest will be fixed in the next patch!
As for the rocks, I was working on expanding the map for 1.1.0 & 1.2 since I worked on other content at the same time as the development for 1.0.4, so I put the rocks there as temporary blockades.
I try and play it though joiplay and it doesnt work. Literally when i spawn in it turns black screen😭
I'm not sure how to use JOIplay, as I don't officially support it, but some people in the Discord got it working by messing with the settings for plugins. I can't provide any help myself though, since I haven't used it. Sorry!
